Active Digital Resale sells surplus computer and networking equipment. Much of the equipment we sell comes from excess inventory or corporate leases other people or companies have owned. We want your purchase experience with us to be a positive one. Please carefully read the policies outlined here, each sale description and look at all the pictures provided with each listing before you make a purchase. By purchasing our products you agree to the following terms of sale.
What You Need to Know About Pre-owned Products
Much of the equipment we sell comes from excess inventory other people or companies have owned. Be advised of the following factors when making the purchase decision to buy our pre-owned products.
Product Condition Varies
The condition can vary from item to item. Pre-owned equipment may have varying degrees of wear and/or other imperfections. Such as minor scuffing, scratches, discoloration, adhesive from stickers, missing components, etc. that are not described in each listing. We inspect each item carefully and report what we see in each listing, but we can not always catch every imperfection.
No Technical Support
Many of the products we sell are of a technical nature and often require some level of technical expertise to setup and maintain. The buyer is responsible for the setup and support of the products they purchase. We do not offer technical support, drivers, missing components or product information beyond that which is stated in each item's sale description.
How We Test Electronics
We perform a "power on" test on most electronics. This means we plug an item in to see whether it "power's on" or not and report what we observe in the item description. Since this is the extent of our testing, we may not always know the exact condition of a piece of equipment and cannot attest to its complete operational status beyond our own testing and observations.
Honest Description Guarantee
We guarantee that the items we sell are "as described and presented" in our listings and in the photographs provided. If we grossly mis-characterize an item, or do not ship everything that is listed, we will ship new items to you, or give you a refund (at our sole discretion).
We give fair and honest presentations of all our sale items but do not necessarily have the technical expertise to thoroughly test each item or catch every minor flaw.
Payment Options
Active Digital Resale.com accepts payment by Check, Money Order, Wire Transfer or Credit Cards through Google Checkout for US customers. For International customers we accept credit card payments through Google Checkout for approved countries and wire transfers through Western Union for all other countries. Some restrictions apply. Flexible payment terms and options are listed below.
Payments - United States Customers
For United States customers we accept payment by Check, Money Order, Wire Transfer or Credit Cards through Google Checkout. For credit card payments some restrictions apply as listed below.
- US buyers paying by credit card must have a "confirmed address" with Google.
- If you are shipping to a PO Box you will have to pay by check, money order or wire transfer.
- Orders paid for by check or money order will be held until payment clears.
- Orders paid for with a Western Union wire transfer are processed immediately.
- Michigan residents will be charged an additional 6% sales tax as required by law
Google Checkout
Google Checkout is a new service that makes online shopping faster, more convenient and more secure. Through Google Checkout you can pay with your Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Solo, UK Maestro, American Express or Discover card. If you do not have a Google account, you can set one up at the time you make your first purchase. Just click on an item's checkout button and Google will walk you through the sign-up process. If you would like to pay by check or money order, you may submit payment with a company or personal check drawn on US bank. Note payment by check or money order can delay shipping as checks are redeemed. Sorry we can not accept international checks or money orders.
First go to the item detail page of the item(s) you are purchasing, and select the "Buy Now" button under the Check/Money Order or Wire Payment section. Fill out the order form and submit it to us. We will then take the item(s) you are purchasing out of circulation and process your order for shipment.
Next go to the item detail page of the item(s) you are purchasing, and select the "Print Order Form" link. This will bring up a order form in your web browser that has all of the item information already filled out for you. Print this form out, fill in your shipping address information and mail it to us using the address below. When your payment has cleared we will ship your order.
For International customers we accept credit card payments through Google Checkout for approved countries and wire transfers through Western Union for all other countries. Certain restrictions exist for International credit card payments, if your order meets any of these restrictions we will notify you.
We accept Google Checkout credit card payments from the following countries. Orders originating from other countries can make payment by a Western Union - wire transfer. Contact us for details.

Established International Buyer Exceptions
Our International credit card restrictions apply generally to "first time buyers". If you have an established payment history with us, we will make an exception. Also if you have an established Ebay FeedBack History that we can review, tell us about it and we will make an exception, and accept a Google Checkout payment from you.
Payment by Wire Transfer
We accept Western Union wire transfer payment, from both Domestic and International customers. If you do not want to use Google Checkout and would like your order shipped quickly this is a good alternative. Sorry we can not accept international checks or money orders.
Instructions:
First go to the item detail page of the item(s) you are purchasing, and select the "Buy Now" button under the Check/Money Order or Wire Payment section. Fill out the order form and submit it to us. We will then take the item(s) you are purchasing out of circulation and process your order for shipment.
Next go to your local Western Union agent and send us a payment using the information provided below. They will then send payment to us electronically.
Finally send us and e-mail letting me know that you have wired your payment. Upon receiving your payment I will imediately ship your order.

Shipping & Handling
All orders are be processed the same business day as receipt of payment. Your package will be carefully packed and shipped in a timely manner through out the United States, Canada and other worldwide destinations. Generally, orders that are shipped to locations within the Continental United States are received within six to ten days. International orders can take longer to receive due to varying customs and postal processing time between countries. Buyer pays for all shipping costs.
Domestic Shipping Rates- United States
The total Shipping and Handling fee on all our regular size shipments to US destinations is a fixed fee average based on delivery to the lower 48 states/USA and automatically includes the total, shipping, handling and insurance for your order.
Standard Shipping to US Destinations
- All USA orders ship FedEx Ground unless otherwise upgraded.
- Recipients signature is required on orders that exceed $250.00
- Orders ship in the order received.
- Check or money order can delay shipping.
- Local pick up is permitted only if stated in the listing.
- 6-10 business days is typical wait time.
Other US Destinations
Packages shipped to Alaska, Hawaii and United States territories Puerto Rico, Guam, and other Military Bases are considered international shipments under our company policies. We will need your shipping location information such as country, postal code, town, etc. to calculate the shipping/handling fees for your order. You will be responsible for all customs, duties, taxes, or broker fees that are incurred.
International Shipping Rates
The Shipping and Handling fee to all International destinations is the actual cost, calculated after the sale once we receive your shipping address.
International Shipping Quotations
International buyers please contact us prior to purchasing to receive a shipping quote. International shipping rates may be higher then you anticipate. Getting a quote in advance helps prevent any problems should the fees differ from your initial expectations. Also, be advised that our shipping estimates DO NOT include any duty or taxes that may be assessed at your local post office in your country.
Post Sale Shipping Calculation
If you are an International buyer, and you should happen to go through the checkout process paying the US Flat shipping rate. We will invoice you by e-mail for the difference after we receive your shipping address and approve your order.
Express Shipping Upgrades
Express shipping services are available upon request for Domestic orders only, additional charges will apply. We do not ship express overnight delivery to overseas destinations, unless you are an established International customer. Also we do not ship on customer provided account numbers under any circumstances.
Refunds & Exchanges
Warranty Claims
All Warranty claims must be submitted within 15 days of receipt of item (no exceptions) and receiver must retain original packaging, product documentation and all accessories sent in the original order for a claim to be processed. If an item is returned for any other reason a 20% re-stocking fee will be charged to the buyer.
Replacement Warranty
Items sold with a "Working Warranty" are guaranteed to work or your money back. If you receive an item and it does not work we will either replace the item with a substitute of equal or greater value or issue a refund of the purchase price (at our discretion). We will also refund the original shipping fee, but the buyer is responsible to pay the cost of shipping the item back to us.
DOA Guaranteed Items
Items sold with a "DOA Guarantee" are guaranteed to power-up. If you receive an item DOA we will either replace the item with a substitute of equal or greater value or issue a refund of the purchase price (at our discretion). We will also refund the original shipping fee, but the buyer is responsible to pay the cost of shipping the item back to us.
Sold As Is Items
No refunds are given for items designated as for sale "As-Is", unless we make a mistake in our listing description. We guarantee that the items we sell are as described and presented in our listings and in the photographs provided. If we grossly mis-characterize an item, or do not ship everything that is listed, we will ship new items to you, or give you a refund (at our discretion). Should a problem arise of this nature, and we need to have the item returned to us before we issue a refund.

(the seller) and its officers, employees, and representatives from any legal liability related to any injury, loss of material or data or other consequence resulting from the application, installation, use or misuse of the product(s) listed in this auction.
